Janos and The Seer met at Vampires Citadel. From a cracked wall they could see as the Hylden were opening portal and entering Nosgoth, since The Seer had opened the lock that the Pillars represented. There were so many of them, when Janos was only himself... alone. The only Vampire is Nosgoth. The Seer was observing the results of her deeds. Janos saw the smile on her face. He was sure that the doom had been unleashed.
"So it was all your plan. To release the Hylden from their banishment. Do you realize what have you done?!", - he said.
"They will not fight. They will not wage a war on you. They will not hunt you. Just like you, they want peace now, Janos", - The Seer answered.
"And how do you know that?!", - Janos was getting mad.
"I am the Seer, remember that?", - she said, - "And by the way... From the Demonic Realm, they could observe what was going here, in Nosgoth. They saw what Kain did. Actually, he made their wishes to come true - the Elder God is permanently destroyed, and the Wheel of Fate works as it should be... as it did at the beginning of times. The souls' memories will not be erased by the Wheel. When one will reborn, he will remember all from his previous life", - The Seer said.
"What if the Hylden will try to destroy me? I am the only Vampire in Nosgoth now. With my death, the Pillars would not be served competently.
"To ensure you that you will survive - as you are the only Vampire in Nosgoth now - I have summoned some of them", - said the Seer, and called upon somebody with a sign. Immediately, with no delay, twelve Hylden sorcerers surrounded them. Janos prepared for combat, just as the Hylden sorcerers, but the leader of the twelve rose his hand, thus showing that he had come in peace.
"Lord Janos Audron. We are glad to see you here, as the only survivor of your race", - said the leader, - "I am the leader of the Hylden Sorcery Guild, and those twelve are its members, as you can see. I have come in peace, and have an offer for you".
"I do not trust any of your offers, and I do not want to listen to you. Return to the place you belong, whelp!", - said Janos.
"You are in no position to argue. We are twelve, you are alone. I suggest you should listen to us. The main idea of our purpose, is peace, which is convinient for both of our races. If I wanted to kill you, I would have done it right now. After so many years of useless wars and hatred, we should all stop fighting. The Mastermind who was pulling the strings is gone. Baal, or the Elder God is destroyed. He decieved us all, and especialy your race, but now it is over. There is no need to continue fighting", - said the leader.
"And what is the offer? What is the price?", - asked Janos.
"Your race will have a population limit. Only you, Vampires, are competent enough to serve the Pillars, as your mentality was raised on spiritism and religion. That is why we need you... alive", - said the leader.
"Population limit? What are you talking about?", - Janos was shocked.
"You will have the Pillars, Janos. The Pillar Guardians will be Vampires only. You should turn the newly born Guardians into Vampires, when they grow up. But, there must be no Vampire in Nosgoth that is not a Guardian. So it means, that there must be no more than ten Vampires all over the world. You still possess the Vampiric curses, so there is no reason that there would be more. Do you agree with this statement, Lord Janos?", - he asked.
"That would be fair", - added the Seer.
"Do I have a choice?", - asked Janos, - "I agree. We are the only being suitable to serve the Pillars, so that is what we are going to do... And what about your obligations, Hylden?", - he asked.
"We will not rebel. Our obligations would be your protection. The Sorcery Guild will protect the Circle from outside enemies", - he said.
"Then I agree...", - said Janos.
"At this moment, both races declare peace, and must keep it forever. Those of Hylden or Vampires who break the pact, should be judged and punished. Now, both leaders may shake hands", - said the Seer. Janos and the Guild Leader shook hands, thus, signing and accepting the declaration of peace between the two races. Then, they all teleported away...
"Now you see, Janos, how ironic the fate is. The two sworn enemies sign a pact of peace, after destroying their common enemy", - said the Seer.
"Was all of this in that Lost Prophecy?", - asked Janos.
"The Prophecy suggests two variations. Each variation is decided by Free Will. Raziel and Kain managed to get the third one. But there was a lost chapter, where it was said about "the edge of the coin"... So actually it was in the Prophecy. I had foreseen all the history paths and streams, but I did not know which of them Raziel and Kain would choose. Free Will is the true power", - said the Seer.
"So what then? What will be you next move?", - asked Janos.
"Now... I must complete the full circle. I will return the Soul Reaver to the past, thus returning it to the start points. You will not need it here anymore... Farewell!", - she said, and teleported away to the Sarathan Stronghold...
500 years before the collapse of the Pillars. The Seer appeared in the Sarathan Stronghold, armed with the Soul Reaver, free of all its elements. She headed to that circle hall, where Kain and Raziel had changed history for the second time. From the upper floor, she could observe as Raziel was struggling with the Reaver, that was trying to consume him. The Sarathanian Raziel's corpse was lying near.
The familiar sense of vertigo and displacement has begun. The familiar scene occured, when Kain had saved Raziel from entering the reaver blade.
"Now you are free to reclaim your true destiny, Raziel", - Kain said. Then the room began to warp around them, and Kain understood that perhaps he had made a mistake. However the Seer new that it was not a mistake, relying on the future event that were yet to come...
"My God... the Hylden... we walked right into their trap... Raziel! Janos must stay dead!", - he said, and Raziel shifted into the Spectral Realm.
Kain, understanding that Raziel was going to reanimate Janos, grabbed the Blood Reaver from the floor, and left the room. Half a minute later, I went down, near Human Raziel's corpse. The door in front of me has opened, and Moebius came in.
"At last! The great ancient Seer! I must say, I am your fan! I knew you would show up here", - he said.
"You have come to take the reaver that consumed Raziel, and bring it to William the Just. But there is no such thing here. They have already changed the history. I love when you get screwed up, Moebius", - The Seer laughed.
"So what? Kain will die anyway!", - he said.
"But you cannot see Raziel's fate, as I am. However, he will use the Free Will, and end with your parasitic master. You are loosing, Moebius", - the Seer replied.
"Raziel will kill Kain. He will submit my master's rule...", - Moebius said.
"I will not argue with you, idiot. You shall see... Why do you think I am here? You do not know the part of future, when Raziel should make a choise. And you cannot see its results...", - The Seer said laughing.
"Raziel will do as my master wants... And you know what I am going to do now, Seer?", - asked Moebius with an expression of joy in his eyes. In the meantime, two Sarathan Guards came into the hall from the back door, sneaking in, behind her.
"Yes... Do it... This is my destiny...", - as The Seer said that, Moebius has activated his staff, disabling the Soul Reaver. Then, the two guards came from behind her, and both impaled her with a berdish. She fell died.
"Very impressive. One of the two most ancient entities in Nosgoth, fell dead to my feet. So ironic...", - Moebius laughed...
As the guards have burnt the body as Moebius ordered them, the Time Streamer went to the Chronoplast Chamber. Poor thing!... He still believed in his success, and had no idea that Raziel would sacrifice himself to allow Kain defeat the Elder God. Moebius has activated the Chronoplast Chamber, and moved 450 years to the future. There, he found William the Just, when he was still young, and presented him the Reaver. Very soon, the younger Kain would kill him, and a fierce crusade against the Vampires would begin...
So this is how it ended. The Soul Reaver has returned to its start point, where and when everything has begun. The younger Kain would kill William, and William's sword would be broken. 20 years later Raziel would restore it, and brake William Chappel instead of killing Kain. Moebius would take the reaver blade, and bring it to Avernus. Another 30 years later, the younger Kain would find the reaver in Avernus...
The Soul Reaver has completed its Full Circle.
Epilogue
...And so it ends. The wars, the hatred, the manipulations, the humiliations and genocides. Through the next centuries, Nosgoth will come to a new stage of Wisdom and Knowledge, to peace and harmony. After the fall of the False God, a long peace between the three races has begun, and nobody really knows, how long would it last...
So, was it a good ending, or a bad one? Or a just one? Perhaps there are no such things as good, evil, or justice in this world... Or probably, it was not the ending at all. All the story, all of those conflicts and events, were just a prelude to a new beginning... Beginning of a new aeon, new world, new era...
